Dating does not bring any good for you both and do not you both also for religion because it only gives the door to the devil to keep whispering the words into the soul-vice you both. Similarly, the term "limited friends", words that seemed to smooth plain, but it is a trap the other demons that try to ensnare you into actions that are religiously forbidden.
For that keep your heart clean by always presenting a sense of fear Allah, repent, seek forgiveness, trust in Him and reproduce dhikrullah (remembrance of Allah). Word of God Almighty
الذين آمنوا وتطمئن قلوبهم بذكر الله ألا بذكر الله تطمئن القلوب (28)
It means: "(They are) those who believe and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah. Remember, only with the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. "(Surat ar Ra'du: 28). (eramuslim)
