SeributawaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday (3 / 11) ordered the suspension of financial aid to Israel after the UN agency UNESCO is giving the Palestinians full membership.
Netanyahu ordered that 2 million dollar per-year funding Israel in their participation helped UNESCO budget frozen, following the organization's decision to accept the Palestinian Authority in their ranks, "said the prime minister's office.
"The prime minister ordered that the budget is directed to the initiative to the same destination in the region."
The decision came three days after the UNESCO decided to recognize Palestine as a full member, a move opposed by the United States and Israel.
"These measures will not promote peace, it will only push it further into an unwanted direction," Netanyahu said on Thursday.
